MENDHAR, Jan 16: Young Star Cricket Club (YSCC) defeated Peer Panjal Cricket Club (PPCC) by 20 runs in the inaugural match of the Abid Champions League, being organized and sponsored by Abid Construction Group, here today.
Electing to bat first, YSCC scored 93 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Rameez Raja was the top scorer with 18 runs.
For PPCC side, Yasir Khan was the pick of the bowler with 4 wickets.
In reply, YSCC failed to chase the target and bundled out at 73 runs for all out in 11 overs. Mustafa Ahmed scored 15 runs.
Rameez Raja of Young Star Cricket Club (YSCC) was declared as man of the match.
Earlier, the Abid Champions League was declared open by Er Wajid Khan, Manager, Abid Construction Group in presence of Sajad Khan, Tarif Hussain Shah, Touseef Khan, locals and sports lovers.
In the tournament, 18 teams from different villages of tehsil Mendhar are participating.
