Country CC U-16 School Cricket Tourney

JAMMU, Nov 20: Young Star Cricket Club registered convincing victory over Country Cricket Club in the ongoing Under-16 School Cricket tournament, being organised by Country Cricket Club and Project Model Higher Secondary School Janipur at Country Cricket ground, Gharota, near here.
Earlier, put into bat, Country Cricket Club scored a modest total of 124 runs in the allotted overs. Udhay Pratap Singh top scored with 31 runs, while Rudra Pratap, Madhav, Karmanya and Vasu contributed 21, 20, 11 and 10 runs to the total respectively. From Young Star, Ritwik and Damanpreet took 2 wickets each, while Jeavas claimed one wicket.
In reply, Young Star Cricket Club chased the target easily to register a resounding win. Ajay Tripathi top scored with 28 runs, while Madhu and Aditya contributed 18 runs each. Ishan Bali scored 17 runs and Damanpreet chipped in with 11 runs.
From Country Cricket Club, Karan Gupta took 2 wickets, while Karmanya, Udhay and Balu claimed 1 wicket each.
Former Ranji Trophy Player, Ranjit Bali, Advocate Rajesh Jaitley , Lucky Singh and Dheeraj Sharma were present on the occasion.
Garu Ram, Kannav and Ankush officiated the match, which was held under the overall supervision of the Organising Secretary, Sanjay Kumar.
