Inter Panchayat/Block Level Cricket Tournament

JAMMU, Jan 25: Young Cricket Club and AMCO Cricket Club registered resounding victories over their rivals in the ongoing Inter Panchayat/Block Level Cricket Tournament, being organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports in collaboration with J&K Sports Council at Parade Ground, here.
The tournament is being held under the patronage of Dr Saleem-ur-Rehman, Director General Youth Services & Sports J&K.
Sukhdev Raj Sharma is the Organising Secretary of the tournament, while cricket coaches of Sports Council namely Naveen Sharma and Randhir Singh are supervising the matches.
In the first match, Young Cricket Club defeated Raja Warrior Cricket Club by 8 wickets.
Batting first, Raja Warriors scored 122 runs in the allotted overs. Nasir top scored with 52 runs, while Amir contributed 19 runs to the total.
In reply, Young CC scored 123 runs by losing 2 wickets to win the match by 8 wickets. Anuj Saini top scored with 60 runs and was declared as the man of the match, while Samerpit contributed 32 runs to the total.
In another match, AMCO Cricket Club beat Sagoon Cricket Club by 5 wickets.
Batting first, Sagoon CC scored 95 runs, with Amit Sharma, Rakesh and Gurjeet scoring 26, 25 and 18 runs respectively.
In reply, Sagoon Cricket Club chased the target by losing 5 wickets, thus winning the match by 5 wickets. Harry who top scored with unbeaten 22 runs and took 4 important wickets was declared as the man of the match.
