SAMBA, June 8: As a prelude to 10th International Yoga Day, AYUSH Department organized a yoga event today at Sher Bachcha Stadium, Military Station Samba.
The event was organized under the guidance of Director AYUSH J&K Dr Mohan Singh and under the supervision of District Nodal officer AYUSH Samba Dr Renu Dass. The event was also graced by the presence of Brigadier M S Pathania (Commander, 168 Infantry Brigade) and Colonel Kashish Wadhwa.
The programme commenced with welcome speech by Dr Mahesh Sharma (Senior Medical Officer and Master Trainer for District Samba) followed by brief description on importance of “Yoga for women empowerment” by senior most Medical Officer of Ayush Department District Samba, Dr Nanni Jasrotia.
The main Yoga event was demonstrated by Yoga Instructors Dinesh Kumar, Pooja Sharma and Deepika Sharma while Dr Ranju Bhran, Dr Sonika along with Raj Kumar supervised the whole event. All Army Officials and their families participated in the event with great enthusiasm.
The event was concluded by vote of thanks speech by Medical Officer Ayush Dr Rozysoan.
