JAMMU, Feb 8: J&K Youth Congress Sports Cell Chairman, Adv Ranjodh Singh has strongly condemned illegal and backdoor appointments in various Government Departments under SRO349 (Sports quota).
While addressing a press conference chairman of the cell termed it is a big scam in the history of Jammu and Kashmir in terms of backdoor appointment with the indulgence of Senior Officers of the Government. He further said despite the status quo order passed by the J&K High Court against the recruitment under SRO349, some officers have not only violated the court order but also recruited more than 20 persons in the various departments for which they weren’t eligible under SRO349.
He also said these frequent backdoor appointments in various Government departments have demoralized the entire sports person fraternity and termed it a big conspiracy against the budding sports persons of J&K.
“The act of some senior bureaucrats have shattered the faith and confidence of sports persons in the militancy infected part of country”, he added.
It is very astonishing that when the Government of India was focusing much on sports and involving youth of J&K in various sports related activities in order to engage them in national building exercise, but such backdoor appointments made by illegal manner, will demoralize morale of the J&K youth, he asserted.
He appealed Lieutenant Governor to hold CBI enquiry in the scam and immediately cancel all these appointments made in various departments under SRO349. The chairman also demanded a strict action against the senior officer who involved in this scam.
Others who were present during the press conference include Sunny Parihar (District President NSUI Jammu) and Vishu Charak (PYC Assembly President Bishnah).
