YCC enters semis at Bhaderwah; Asraria, Semina Warriors win at Kishtwar

JAMMU, July 12: Youth Cricket Club defeated Assar Cricket Club in the quarterfinal to reach the semifinals at Degree College Bhaderwah, while Asraria Cricket Club and Semina Warriors registered wins over their rivals at Choghan Cricket ground at Kishtwar in the ongoing District Level JKCA Premier Cricket Championship, being organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association, under the overall supervision of retired Judge, Jang Bahadur Singh Jamwal and Sham Saroop Kalsotra at various venues in Jammu province.
At Degree College ground, Bhaderwah, YCC defeated Assar Cricket Club by 4 wickets. Batting first, Assar CC scored 134 runs in 20 overs. Asif top scored with 57 runs while Majid contributed 30 runs to the total. For YCC, Manjeet and Burhan claimed 1 wicket each.
YCC, in reply, reached the target in 13 overs by losing 6 wickets to win the match by 4 wickets. Abrar scored 28 runs, while Lakhan and Arif chipped in with 19 runs each. Arif took 3 wickets for Assar CC.
At Choghan Cricket ground Kishtwar, Asraria  Cricket Club thrashed Brothers XI by a huge total of 109 runs. Asraria CC scored a big total of 244 runs in 25 overs. Hanan top scored with 82 runs, while Amir and Burhan contributed 55 and unbeaten 49 runs to the total respectively. For Brothers XI, saqlain took 2 wickets, while Suhaib claimed one.
Brothers XI bundled out for 135 runs to lose the match by 109 runs. Arshad scored 82 runs. Dawood bagged 4 important wickets, while Hanan and Burhan claimed 2 wickets each.
In another match at the same venue, Semina Warriors drubbed Kishtwar CC by 35 runs. Batting first, Semina Warriors scored 155 runs in 24.5. Nasir scored 35 runs, while Imran and Salik contributed 25 runs each. Tafeem took 5 wickets, while Rehan claimed 3.
In reply, Kishtwar CC, collapsed at 120 runs to lose the match by 35 runs. Sharan contributed 24 runs, while Suhaib and Rehan chipped in with 18 runs each. Wasim took 4 wickets, while Nasir and Imran claimed 3 and 2 wickets respectively.
