POONCH, Apr 13: YCC defeated Gunthal Cricket Club by 8 wickets to seal berth in the quarterfinals of the ongoing Police T20 Cricket Tournament, being held at Degree College ground, here.
Earlier, batting first, Gunthal Club scored a modest total of 103 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Ajaz was the top scorer with 26 runs. For YCC, Wahied bagged 3 wickets by conceding 14 runs in his 3 overs.
In reply, YCC chased the target in 10 overs by losing 2 wickets, thus won the match by 8 wickets. Amandeep Singh scored a brilliant half-century (55 off 30 balls), which fetched him a man of the match award.
