Y N College of Engineering celebrates 47th Engineer’s Day

JAMMU, Sept 15: Yoga Nanda (Y N) College of Engineering and Technology celebrated 47th Engineer’s Day by organizing various thematic events at its Auditorium, here.
Rich tributes were paid to the Engineering ‘Father of Nation’, Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Vivesvaraya on the occasion.
Sir Mokshagundam was a notable Indian Engineer, Scholar, Statesman and the Diwan of Mysore during 1912 to 1918, & Chief Architect of the protection of the flood protection system for the city of Nizam (Hyderabad) in Telangana and for the construction of Krishna Raja Sagar dam in Mysore.
The chief guest of the Day was Dr Seema Narain, Director-YCET, while Er B R Verma, Dean Academics-YCET was the guest of honour.
Technical expo of the projects published by Er Dinesh Gupta, Assistant Professor E and C and Er Loveneesh Talwar, Assistant Professor Electrical Department presented their Research Papers entitled “Energy Conservation Techniques adopted for conservation of Electrical Energy in Grid Station”, published in International Journal IJERT.
Er Dinesh Gupta coordinated the proceedings of the Day, while I S Walia presented vote of thanks.
