WWAO Jammu celebrates Foundation Day

JAMMU, Nov 18: The World Women Awakening Organisation (WWAO), Jammu Chapter, celebrated its Foundation Day with great enthusiasm at Government Middle School, Bhure Chak, Phallian Mandal. The programme commenced with a warm welcome by the school Principal, Mamata Gupta, who appreciated the organisation’s initiative to reach out to rural areas.
Veenu Khanna, President of the WWAO Jammu Chapter, addressed the gathering and spoke about the organisation’s mission to uplift weaker sections of society, particularly women and children. She emphasized that WWAO aims to identify promising talent in underprivileged communities and provide them with a platform for growth. “Today we have come to the village to witness the talent of children from the weaker sections. We will take this talent forward—this is our promise,” she said, reaffirming the organisation’s commitment to social empowerment.
Zonal Education Officer, Zaver Noor, expressed gratitude that WWAO chose a school from her zone for its celebrations. The event showcased an impressive cultural programme, including Ganesh Vandana, patriotic and Dogri songs, a debate on Rani of Jhansi, a group dance, a spoon race, and a sack race.
Dr. Renu Gupta, National Vice President of WWAO, honoured the ZEO with a memento and appreciated her participation. Tokens of appreciation were also presented to the school staff for organising the event at short notice. The programme was coordinated by Rajendra Sharma and concluded with a Vote of Thanks by WWAO member Kamini Chopra.
