JAMMU, Mar 2: Jammu and Kashmir Wrestling Association is conducting selection trials to pick the State team for the forthcoming National level Wrestling Championships on March 5, 2018 at Bajrangi Akhara , Shalimar Road, here.
The decision in this regard was taken in a meeting of the Association held under the chairmanship of Ajay Vaid, General Secretary of the Association.
The meeting was attended by Vijay Pahalwan, Pradeep Sharma, Raju Sharma, Swaran Lal, Raj Kumar, Raj Kumar, Mohd Sadiq and Gh Mohi-ud-din.
The selected team will represent the State in the Sub Junior National Wrestling Championship, 37th Boys Freestyle, Greco Roman Style and 21st Women Sub Junior (Cadet) National Championship to be held at Balewade, Pune in Maharashtra from March 12 to March 16, 2018.
The Association has advised the wrestlers desirous to take part in the trials to report at Bajrangi Akhara at 8 am sharp on March 5, 2018.
They will have to report Jai Bharat, NIS qualified Coach and Pardeep Sharma, President Bajranjgi Akhara on mobile numbers 8717024777 and 9858189980 respectively.
Meanwhile, Ajay Vaid also informed that two J&K Wrestlers namely Nadeem Ahmed and Ajay Chib entered the semifinals in the 37th Boys Freestyle, Greco Roman Style and 20 Women Junior National Wrestling Championship held at Jaipur in Rajasthan recently.
