AMBALA, Aug 7:
Wrestler Dalip Rana alias Great Khali met Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij at his Shastrinagar residence Ambala Cantonment today.
Khali according to information, had discussed the problems being faced by the wrestlers in Haryana. He made an appeal to seek help of the Minister for the wrestling event being held at Gurugram under aegis of World Wrestling Federation (WWF).
He also made request to provide protection during the event. The Minister Vij assured him all possible help from the state government to make the event successful.
Meanwhile, the Sports Minister Vij hoped that the participants from Haryana in the Olympics at Rio would perform well and would win medals in different events especially the wrestling. He said that he was going to Rio with other members from the state to encourage the participants there. (UNI)
