Wrestlers Swarn, Balwan share honours

REASI , Aug 31: Wrestlers Swarn Singh of Jammu and Balwan Singh of Mahore shared the Sujandhar Kesari Dangal tittle  as heavy rain disrupted the tough bout between them on the concluding day of three days Sujandhar Mela. Saraf Singh Nag was the chief guest on the occasion who gave away cash prizes to the wrestlers. A large number of locals from reasi katra and adjoining areas witnessed the dangal and appreciated the efforts of organizers for holding this successful event. Wrestler Swarn and Balwan both were  awarded with cash prize of Rs 11000  by chief guest, while cash prize of Rs 8000 was given to the winner of second bout . The second bout was fought between Balwan Singh of Chasanna and Hoshiar Singh of Talwara in which Hoshiar Singh emerged as winner. The third bout was fought between Liaqat Ali of Panthal and Sanjay of Jammu in which Liaqat Ali emerged as winner and was given cash prize of 7000. The fourth bout was won by Daleep Singh of Talwara and was given 5000 as cash prize. Around 60 bouts were played in the event.
