World’s Highest Duathlon concludes at Leh

LEH, Sept 12: World’s Highest Duathlon concluded here today.
It was a different experience for the people of leh as students, businessmen, doctors, teachers, adventurists chose to participate in Tuffman MTB Ladakh Duathlon powered by Cyclofit which is together a running and a cycling event in their own city.
The race had a vision of exploring the latent talent of running & cycling at an altitude of 12000 ft and empowering the participants for displaying their passion, especially locals.
People visiting from outstations enjoyed the spirit of the healthy lifestyle which helps to create a positive impact on our society by keeping fit and healthy.
Rigzin Spalgon, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Leh, LAHDC, flagged off the 63 Km Cycle + 10 Km Run & 50 Km Cycle + 5 Km Run events together.
The 20 Km Cycle + 2 Km Run was flagged off by Nisar Abdu, owner of Spic N Span Hotel.
TUFFMAN is India’s premiere endurance sports platform bringing Running, Cycling and Swimming events to sports enthusiasts.
All events are organized in various beautiful destinations and major cities in India, which everyone wishes to visit like Shimla (Mashobra), Leh, Goa, Kasauli, Jaisalmer, Andaman & Nicobar, Manali, Gurugram, Chandigarh (Half Marathon, Triathlon, Stadium Run).
The Runners & Cyclists in all categories were flanked by cheering crowds at the NDS Stadium. The race was also against the use of single use plastic and all water was served in paper based cups which are eco-friendly in nature.
Travel of the participants was taken by Desert Bloom and refreshments by the Turnip, Proathlix, official nutrition partner and Gatorade was the hydration partner, where the event had local guidance and expertise by The Ladakh Scouts and was supported by Leh Administration, LAHDC.
The event also had a huge number of local participation from various local schools in Leh namely, Moravian Public School, Delhi Public School and Sindh Public School.
