JAMMU, Dec 9: An award function was organized today by Dance Sports Council to present awards to the winners of UT level dance championship held on December 2.
The function was organized by District Jammu coordinator of Dance Sports Council of Jammu and Kashmir, Anil Sharma during which participants of Jammu district were honoured by actor and director Vidya Bhushan with medals and merit certificates on the basis of their performance in the State championship.
The championship was organized by Harman Cultural and Educational Society at Abhinav Theatre, Jammu on December 2 and about 450 children from eight districts of Jammu and Kashmir participated in it.
Speaking on the occasion, Anil Sharma informed that the best performers of the UT level championship will be leaving for West Bengal on January 1, 2020 to represent at National Dance Sports Championship 2020, which is going to be held on 4th and 5th January, 2020.
Tajinder Singh, president, Harman Cultural and Educational Society, Gurvinder Kour, State secretary, Dance Sports Council of Jammu and Kashmir, Sweety Jyotshi and Ranjeet Singh were also present on the occasion.
