JAMMU, July 3: Department of Electrical Engineering of Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET) today organised a webinar on ‘Rise in Cyber Crime amid COVID-19’for Electrical and Computer Engineering students.
The session was started with the welcome address of Er Loveneesh Talwar, HoD Electrical Engineering, followed by Er Vikas Razdan who is a certified cyber crime intervention officer, cyber security analyst, cyber warrior and an active member of JK Cyber Yodha aware the participants about the crimes of digital era.
He discussed about cyber crime, the emerging technical challenges, privacy issues and sextortion: video call scam and also apprised the participants on ‘Be mindful of UPI Scam’ and ‘One Ring Calling Scam.’
Prof (Dr) A K Srivastava, Director YCET was also present during the event and addressed the participants regarding the cyber crime. Er Dinesh Gupta, HoD Computer Science & Engineering Department presented vote of thanks.
