JAMMU, May 16: Riding on splendid half-centuries by Sarthak Peshin and Vishal Kanth, Whites Cricket Club defeated Country Cricket Academy by 10 wickets in the ongoing Summer Cup Cricket Tournament, being played at CCA Gharota, here.
Batting first, CCA scored a modest total of 112 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Manik top scored with 36 runs, while Kanav and Marutwan contributed 12 and 9 runs to the total respectively. For WCC, Aditya Chib bagged 2 wickets, while Rohit Pandita and Romil claimed one wicket each.
In reply, WCC scored the required total in 14.3 overs, without losing a wicket, thus won the match by 10 wickets. Sarthak Peshin scored 52 runs off 68 balls, studded with 5 boundaries, while Vishal Kanth scored 58 off 72 balls with 4 boundaries. Sarthak was adjudged man of the match.
BCC will take on Sidhant Cricket Academy in the next match tomorrow.
