Wadhawan, Dutta help ‘A Horizon’ to win title

JAMMU, Mar 22: Brilliant batting display by Jatin Wadhawan and superb bowling show by Raman Dutta helped A Horizon Cricket Club to thrash United Cricket Club by 25 runs to win the title trophy of 6th Ravi Singh Charak Memorial Cricket Tournament at Satwari Cricket ground, here.
Earlier, batting first, A Horizon CC scored a good total of 181 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Jatin Wadhawan top scored with 77 runs off 39 balls, studded with 13 fours and 2 sixes, while Lakhan contributed 34 runs to the total. Harri and Aman also chipped in with 14 and 13 runs respectively. From UCC, Rakesh took 3 wickets, while Irshad claimed two.
In reply, UCC managed to score 156 runs in the allotted overs, losing 8 wickets in the process, thus lost the match by 25 runs. Vikas, Yawar and Adil contributed 37, 34 and 29 runs to the total respectively. From A Horizon CC, Raman Dutta took 5 important wickets, while Monu and Jatin claimed one wicket each.
Raman Dutta was declared as the man of the match for his splendid bowling show.
The match was officiated by Vijay Choudhary and Divesh Sharma as umpires.
