Volleyball Tournament organized by District Police Jammu concludes

JAMMU, Mar 17: Volleyball Tournament organized under the aegis of Civic Action Programme (CAP) by District Police Jammu in the jurisdiction of Police Station, Bishnah concluded, today.
The tournament in which large number of teams participated had begun on March 15, 2017.
The final match of the tournament was played between Kaku de Kothey Volleyball team and Sai Arnia Volleyball team, which was won by Kaku de Kothey Volleyball team.
SSP Jammu Dr Sunil Gupta was the chief guest on the valedictory function, while SDPO RS Pura, Surinder Choudhary, SHO P/S Bishnah/Arnia and other officers of Sub-Division RS Pura were present on the occasion.
The chief guest presented a trophy and a cash prize of Rs 10,000 to the winners and trophy and a cash prize of Rs 5,000 to the runners-up team.
Sports uniforms and medals were also distributed among the players on the occasion.
The Tournament was organized under the close supervision of SP Hqrs. Jammu, RC Kotwal.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest said that sports and games help in enhancing mental and physical ability of the youth, adding that the objective of holding competitions under the Civic Action Programme is to provide opportunity to youth to participate in sports activities, besides enhancing police-public relation.
