JAMMU, Aug 29: The 1st Annual Open Volleyball Tournament, hosted at Banyan International School, ended today with Army Public School, Akhnoor defeating Shiksha Niketan by a score of 25-10 25-16 25-7 in a match, the result of which does not capture how close contest the match actually was.
Earlier, today, BSF School, Paloura, clinched third place with a 25-20 25-14 victory over the hosts.
Holding the closing ceremonies on National Sports Day, the Principal Shounak Lahiri spoke about the high standards of sportsmanship set by all the teams that participated and the importance of sports in developing teamwork and pride.
