JAMMU, Mar 21: BSF Jammu thrashed Jammu Canto-nment by four goals to nil (4-0) on the second day of the State Hockey Championship for VK Kohli Championship, being organized by KK Hakhu Astroturf Hockey Stadium, here.
The first goal was scored by Gurbachan Singh in 18th minute, while the second goal was netted by Dharminder Singh in 36th minute.
The third goal was scored by Bikram Toppo in 45th minute, while Navjeet Singh netted the fourth goal in 59th minute.
Arshad Khan, veteran hockey player was the chief guest on the occasion, while prominent among others present were Sarla Kohli, Sham Lal, PP Singh, Harbans Singh and MS Reen.
The match was officiated by Jaspreet Singh, Gurjeet Singh and Joginder Singh, while the Championship is being held under the supervision of GS Bakshi, general secretary, Hockey J&K.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Jammu Central will take on District Rajouri at 10:30 am, District Anantnag will lock horns with District Kathua at 11:30 am and District Poonch will face Jammu Rural at 3:30 pm.
