JAMMU, May 15: On the completion of 25 years, Vishwa Bharati Public Higher Secondary School, Akalpur Morh Jammu, celebrated its Silver Jubilee Ceremony with pomp and show in the School Campus, here today.
The main attractions of the morning session were Mass P.T, Dance items, Vidyalaya Geet and dance on Om Namha Shivaay that mesmerized the spectators.
Anil Katoch, Senior Superintendent of Police J&K was the chief guest on the first session and J L Koul, Vice President Vishwa Bharati Women’s Welfare Institution presided over the session. Prizes were distributed among the students who excelled in academics during the session 2016-17. Prof. Annapurna Kaul, Principal of the School welcomed the guests and highlighted the achievements.
Students, teachers and members of the school accorded a grand welcome to Dulari Thussu on her arrival at the Mini Stadium of the School. Dulari Thussu has been associated with Vishwa Bharati for last sixty years.
A series of cultural items like Bollywood Dance, Dogri Dance, Slow Motion Dance, Punjabi Dance were fabulously performed by the students on the Kaleidoscopic stage of the auditorium. All the members of Vishwa Bharati management committee including JL Koul, Dr SK Koul, Secretary Vishwa Bharati Higher Secondary School Jammu, Prof A Sadhu, Dr RK Saproo and BL Saraf were present.
JL Koul, Vice President Vishwa Bharati Women Welfare Institutions, was the chief guest on the occasion, while Sahib Sarup Gupta, Rajinder Pattoo, Dulari Thusu, First Principal of the School and Grija Tickoo, First Teacher, Sachin Sharma and Ramesh Bhat were the guests of honour.
On the occasion, the pillars of the School including SS Gupta, Rajinder Pattoo, Dulari Thusu, Grija Tickoo, Sachin Slathia and Ramesh Bhat were felicitated.
Grija Tickoo, former teacher of the school, threw light on the School Journey from 1990 to till date.
Chief-guest also delivered a speech full of his precious blessings for the students and teachers.
Dr SK Koul, Secretary Vishwa Bharati Public School in his eloquent speech counted the achievements of the school and acclaimed all those who supported and contributed for the development and prosperity.
The programme was anchored by Anita Sharma from Department of Sanskrit and Achint Kour, Department of English.
