Vishal knocks Virat out of JKCA Premier Championship

JAMMU, June 1: Team effort helped Vishal Cricket Club to defeat Virat Cricket Club by 6 wickets in the ongoing Jammu District JKCA Premier Cricket Championship, being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association, under the overall supervision of retired Judge and Member Committee of Members JKCA, Jang Bahadur Singh Jamwal at GGM Science College Hostel ground, here.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, Virat Cricket Club scored a modest total of 113 runs in 23.5 overs . Rohan Pandita and Ravi contributed 18 runs each, while Kanav Saini chipped in with 14 runs. Ashim Nanda and Farooq took 3 wickets each from Vishal Cricket Club.
In reply, Vishal Cricket Club chased the target in 21.4 overs by losing 4 wickets, thus won the match by 6 wickets. Jagteshwar top scored with unbeaten 32 runs, while Lakhan and Farooq contributed 30 and 24 runs to the total respectively. Sahil, Anchal, Gagan and Rohan claimed 1 wicket each from Virat Cricket Club. Farooq of Vishal Cricket Club was adjudged as the man of the match for his all-round display.
The match was officiated by Ashok Singh, Ravi Manchanda and Rahul Kumar, while the Tournament is being organized by the organizing committee including Rajesh Gill, Rajesh Dhar, Vijay Saberwal, Vijay Sharma, Harsh Nayyar and Sachin Singh.
