Vishal Kings win final match; Jammu Rising Stars bags series by 3-2

JAMMU, Mar 28: Though Vishal Kings got better of Jammu Rising Stars in the final match by 5 wickets, yet Jammu Rising Stars won the 5-Match Cricket Evaluation Series for Junior Cricketers by 3-2 at Parade Ground, here.
The Cricket Series for Junior Cricketers between Jammu Rising Stars and Vishal Kings Jammu was organized jointly  by Jammu Sports Council and J&K Sports Promoters Club, Jammu.  The slogan of the tournament was “Sports Shall Live On..” .
SSP Ramesh Kotwal was the chief guest on the occasion, while J&K’s ace shooter Chain Singh was the honour.
The Chief Guest while speaking on the occasion congratulated the winners of the series and winners of the final match and lauded the efforts of the organizing secretary, Rajesh Gill, Chief Prosecuting Officer for conducting the Evaluation Series for the junior cricketers with an objective to provide opportunity to them and analyze their regular performances.
Chain Singh said that he enjoyed to watch the game of the budding cricketers of Jammu.
Mr Gill said though it was an evaluation cricket series for the young cricketers  and the main performers in the series included Sachin Sharma (145 runs),  Praful Dhar and Aditpal Singh  (6 wickets each), Akshit (120 runs) and Rohan Gill (115 runs).
The Jury of the organizing team namely Rajesh gill, Rajesh Dhar, Madan Mohan, Saleem-ur-Rehman and Sudhir Singh felicitated the young cricketers for their best performances on the occasion.
Earlier, in the last match Vishal Kings defeated Jammu Rising Stars by 5 wickets.
Batting first, Jammu Rising Stars scored 129 runs in the stipulated 25 overs. Arya Suvansh (37),Sachin (33) and Rohan Gill (18) were the main contributors. Praful Dhar was the pick of the bowlers, who took 3 important wickets , while Abhay Tandon, Aditpal Singh, Ayush Koul, Nalin and Dhruv shared 1 wicket each.
In reply, Vishal Kings achieved the target in 19th over by losing 5 wickets, thus winning the match by 5 wickets. Aditya Abrol (35 n.o), Ayush (24), Raghav (15) and Praful unbeaten (4) were the main scorers. Sachin took 2 wickets  and Umar Sadiq claimed 1 wicket. Sachin was named as man of the series.
Sandeep, Sanjay and Vinod were the match officials.
