Vipul lifts Champion of Champion title in Body Building Championship

JAMMU, June 12: Vipul Jamwal won the prestigious title of Mr J&K-2022 and became Champion of Champion in the J&K Body Building and Fitness Championship, conducted by Body Building Association of J&K (BBAJK) in collaboration with Sports Council at Teacher Bhawan Auditorium Gandhi Nagar, here today.
The championship was inaugurated by the chief guest, Prof Dr Ashutosh Sharma, Arun Kumar Sharma in presence of Rajesh Dutta secretary general and Vinay Sharma vice president of BBAJK.
A total of 110 Body Builders participated in different categories in the championship, which was judged by panel of experts including Gain Singh and Prem Bhdur, National Judge from Delhi, Ajit Singh, Vikas Thaper, Vimal Jeet, Mohd Javed and Sidharth Satoo from the Association concerned.
In 50-55 kg, top three places were secured by Vaibhav Pratap, Pankaj Kumar and Simrat Choudhary respectively, while in 55-60 kg, Manik Khajuria (Gold), Kumar Gourav and Vikram Singh (Silver) and Rishav Kumar (Bronze), in 60-65 kg, first three places were won by Bal Krishan, Arush Manhas and Manoj Gupta and in 65-70 kg, Abhishek Sharma, Vaibhav Saini and Rakesh Malhotra won top three medals respectively.
In 70-75 kg, Tajinder Singh, Ashwani Kaul and Sumit Singh stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively, while in 75-80 kg, top three medals were won by Sunil Bhan, Kamal Mahiya and Nitin Sharma and in Plus 80 kg, Vipul Jamwal and Goutam Bhagat remained 1st and 2nd, besides in masters category, Dr Naveen Mahajan stood 1st and in women fitness, first three places were clinched by Surbhi Sharma, Pooja Virdhi and Janvi Kumar.
In men’s physique (below 6 feet), Vaibhav Saini and Rajdeep Kumar stood 1st and 2nd, while Manu Khajuria and Kumar Gorav shared 3rd place, while in above 6 feet, first two places were secured by Akashdeep Dutta and Sorab Sharma, while Ashish Sharma and Jaideep Gandhi shared 3rd place.
