Vimarsh guides Challenger Club to crush Rainawari Club by 16 runs, register berth in semis

JAMMU, July 2: Splendid inning of 57 runs and 3 wickets haul by Vimarsh guided Challenger Cricket Club to register 16 runs victory over Rainawari Cricket Club (RCC) and register berth in the semis of the ongoing Summer Cup Akhnoor T-20 Cricket Tournament, being organised by Singh Cricket Club at Government Higher Secondary School ground, Akhnoor today.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, Challenger Club put a target of 186 runs for the loss of  6 wickets in stipulated 20 overs. Ashu played a magnificent inning of 79 runs, whereas Vimarsh also exhibited marvelous batting skills and scored 57 runs. Vijay Dogra made 21 runs.
From RCC side, Sourav and Vishavjit scalped 2 wickets each, whereas Kuldeep and Aman took one wicket apiece.
In reply, RCC failed to chase the target and were  bundled out at 170 runs for all out in 19.3 overs. Manish Dogra scored 43 runs, whereas Sidharth and Ishan made 23 and 20 runs respectively.
From Challenger Club side, Manjit Singh scalped 4 wickets and Vimarsh took 3 wickets. Ram Dayal and Somay claimed 1 wicket each.
Vimarsh of Challenger Club was declared as man of the match for his all round performance.
The match was officiated by Rajinder Sharma and Sonu Malhotra as umpires, whereas Lucky maintained the scoreboard.
This tournament is being held under the overall supervision of Sham Singh Langeh, President, Singh Cricket Club Akhnoor.
