JAMMU, July 2: Rainawari Cricket Club (RCC) and Krishan Chand Cricket Club (KCCC) registered wins in their respective league matches and entered into the next stage of the ongoing Chevrolet Cricket Cup, being played at KC Public School cricket ground here.
The first match of the day was played between Mayank Goswami Cricket Club (MGCA) and Rainawari Cricket Club (RCC).
Batting first after winning the toss, MGCA scored 131 runs in 20 overs. Salit Mahotra and Tushar Gupta scored 33 and 28 runs respectively.
From RCC side, Sourav and Ashok took 2 wickets each.
In reply, RCC chased the target in 13 overs for the loss of 4 wickets. Satish Kohli played magnificent inning of 51 runs and Ishan Gupta made 38 runs.
From MGCA side, Sahil and Akash scalped one wicket apiece.
Satish Kohli was declared as man of the match.
The second match of the day was played between Krishan Chand Cricket Club (KCCC) and Karaliana Cricket Club (KCC), in which former registered win by 99 runs.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, KCCC set a target of 172 runs in 20 overs. Sahil Luthra played a splendid inning of 70 runs, whereas Vinash made 51 runs.
From KCC side, Satwant Singh and Ashok claimed 2 wickets each.
In the second inning, KCC got bundled out at 74 runs for all out in 18 overs. Aman scored 21 runs and Satwant made 11 runs.
Sahil Luthra of KCCC was adjudged as man of the match.
Westside coupons worth Rs 500 were presented to the winners of ‘Man of the Match’ title.
