SAMBA, Mar 28: An Inter-College Sports Meet was organized by the Vimal Muni College of Education Ramgarh, here today.
A group of 80 students from neighbouring Colleges of Education and Govt Polytechnic Samba were registered to participate in the Meet in Kho – Kho, Badminton, Chess and Carrom.
Harbans Singh, president FORCE and former Sports Minister was the chief guest on the occasion.
The Chairperson, Anu Gupta of Vimal Muni College presented welcome address.
The traditional lamp was lit by the chief guest alongwith chairperson, Anu Gupta; Principal Dr S D Gupta and other staff members.
The girl students of the College chanted Saraswati Vandana in a musical tone
The winners of the teams of each game were given prizes.
In Kho-Kho, the first prize went to Vimal Muni College of Education, Ramgarh, while in Chess, the first prize was bagged by Govt Polytechnic Samba.
In Badminton, the first prize was claimed by Ranjeet College of Education, while in Carrom, the first prize went to Govt Polytechnic Samba.
Vote of thanks was presented by the College Principal and the Programme concluded with National Anthem.
