Mumbai, July 13:
As he gears up for the professional boxing arena, Indian star Vijender Singh will perform a live training session with his British trainer Lee Beard here on Wednesday.
Vijender, India’s first Olympic and World Championships medallist, will be seen training in a boxing ring at a mall here.
Vijender will be trained by Beard who had previously worked with British legend Ricky Hatton.
Vijender recently turned profession by signing a deal with the UK-based Queensberry Promotions.
During his visit to UK last month, Vijender trained under Beard for more than a week.
“It will be really an exciting day when I will get trained by Lee in front of the Indian fans. Having already trained under him, I am sure fans will enjoy this training session,” Vijender said in a release.
During the event Queensberry promoter Francis Warren will also be present. PTI
