Vijaypur lifts Inter-School Zonal Level Football Tourney

JAMMU, July 19: Thrashing Purmandal Zone by 1-0 in the final match of Inter School Zonal Level Under-17 Football Championship played today at Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Ground Kehli Mandi, Samba, Vijaypur lifted the title trophy.
The Championship was organized by Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), District Samba. A total number of 54 players from all five zones of district Samba participated in the championship, which was inaugurated by District Officer, Subash Chander Bhardwaj and held under the guidance of Director General, DYSSO, J&K, Jehangir Mir.
The final match of the championship was played today between Vijaypur and Purmandal zones. Vijaypur Zone won the match by 1-0 and got hold of the title trophy.  The only goal of the match was made by Adhiraj Slathia by penalty kick.
Those present on the valedictory function were Rakesh Verma, BD Sharma, Vijay Singh Slathia, Pardeep Singh and Raghubir Singh— all Zonal Physical Education Officers.
