JAMMU, May 20: The Jammu & Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) has appointed Vijay Sharma as a member of its Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC), following the recommendation of the Member-Cricket Operations and Development and subsequent approval by the Sub Committee.
He will join former legendary cricketers Abdul Qayoom and Meenu Singh Slathia, who are already serving on the committee. The JKCA stated that the inclusion of experienced cricketers in the CAC will strengthen its efforts in talent identification and cricket development across the Union Territory.
He represented J&K in 44 First-Class matches, taking 107 wickets at an economy rate of 3.27, including five five-wicket hauls with best figures of 5 for 20. He has also represented North Zone in prestigious tournaments like the Duleep and Deodhar Trophy.
