JAMMU, Mar 24: Vijay Club defeated Jammu United by four goals to nil (4-0) in the ongoing 24th State Football Championship, being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) at GGM Science College Football ground, here.
The first goal was scored by Mohit Verma in 36th minute, while the second goal was netted by Parveen Kumar in 55th minute.
The third goal was pelted by Tanpreet Singh in 58th minute, while Parveen Kumar scored his second and the team’s fourth goal in 67th minute of the match.
Yellow cards were shown to Sikander Ali and Navjot Singh of Vijay Club in 18th and 80th minutes respectively, while Ajay Lakha of United Club was also shown yellow card in 35th minute.
The amtch was officiated by Zahid Zahoor, Rickey Kumar, Dil Bahadur and Suresh Gupta.
In tomorrow’s fixture, J&K Police will take on DFA Udhampur at 4 pm.
