JAMMU, Dec 29: Vidarbha chased down a challenging target of 312 runs against Jammu & Kashmir with five wickets to spare in their Elite Group B match of the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26 at Sanosara Cricket Ground B, Rajkot. Vidarbha finished on 315 for 5 in 48.3 overs, reaching the target with nine deliveries to spare.
Opener Aman Mokhade was named Player of the Match after a superb innings of 139 off 125 balls, while Ravikumar Samarth supported him with a brilliant 114 off 108 balls, anchoring the successful chase. After winning the toss, Vidarbha elected to field, restricting Jammu & Kashmir to 311 for 9 in their 50 overs. Yawer Hassan was the top scorer for J&K with 79 and Qamran Iqbal contributed 54, helping set a competitive total.
For Vidarbha, the seasoned batting performance made the chase relatively smooth. J&K bowlers, including Yudhvir Singh who took 3 for 69, put up a strong effort but couldn’t prevent the run chase.
