VC JU honours ‘Sangam-2019’ winning contingent

JAMMU, Oct 17: Prof Manoj Kumar Dhar, Vice Chancellor University of Jammu today felicitated the University of Jammu contingent which won the Youth Festival ‘Sangam 2019’ winner’s Trophy by securing 413 points in Sports & Cultural events.
The University teams took part in Basketball (M&W), Volleyball (M), Kho-Kho (M&W), Kabaddi (M), Athletics (M&W) and Chess (M&W) in Sports Events and Skit, Sketching, Solo dance, Solo song, Group dance, Folk dance, Poster making, Rangoli, Photography and Debate in Cultural events.
The University of Jammu contingent handed over the winning trophy to the Vice Chancellor in the presence Prof RK Ganjoo, Registrar, University of Jammu and Dr Daud Iqbal Baba, Director, Directorate of Sports & Physical Education.
Prof Dhar congratulated the staff and students for lifting the winner’s trophy of the ‘Sangam 2019’ which was organized by the University Bhaderwah Campus in collaboration with the Rashtriya Rifles, in which around 1000 students from the 32 colleges / institutions and off-site campuses of the University took part.
The University contingent was accompanied by S. Harinder Pal Singh and Sanjay Verma.
Prominent among others present were Raj Kumar Bakshi, Ravish Vaid, PD Singh and Sanjeev Sharma.
