CAF holds workshop to train children in dramaturgy, theatrics

JAMMU, Oct 16: To train the younger generation in the field of art and dramatology a one day workshop cum seminar was organised by Chinar Art Foundation (CAF) here today in which children from different area participated.
The president All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) advocate, Ravinder Raina was the chief guest. J K Raina chairman Abhay Public School, (APS), Surinder Tickoo vice president, Prem Sangeet Niketan and Kiran Raina principal of the APC were the guests of honour. The workshop was organized in collaboration with APS, Muthi.
The chairman of the CAF, Kusum Dhar and a well known artist in her welcome address gave an appraisal of the current engagements and activities of CAF. She urged the students that in addition of reading and writing they should get themselves involved in other activities of life like art like music, dramaturgy and theatrics etc. She said CAF has started such workshops in future to train younger generation in the field of dramaturgy and theatrics.
A debate on the topic Wyeth ki Wytha (the agony of river Jehlum) giving thrust to waste management was also held. Pran Nath Pandita retired SSP and chief patron of the Foundation dwelt at length on the subject.
The students drawn from various areas including Vivek Koul of Class XI, Sumriti Saproo of Class X, Sohani Kumari of Class XI, Vishal Pandita of Class XI and Manish Kumar of Class X were presented trophies by the chief gust and other guests on the occasion.
The lectures on dramaturgy, theatrics and other aspects of art was given by Bharti Koul of Vomedh Theatre Group while Sachin Dhar of Prem Sangeet Niketan highlighted the beauty of Bhartiya Sangeet. The vote of thanks was presented by Rajesh Khar, secretary CAF and proceedings were conducted by Vijay Wali, Virender Sumbli, Ritu Mehra, Kundan Paras, besides others were present.
