Valley Stars, Royal Goodwill advance to SF’s of JKPL

JAMMU, Jan 3: The Quarter-Finals of Jammu Kashmir Premier League (JKPL) 2025–26 witnessed thrilling cricket at University of Jammu Ground today, as Valley Stars Ganderbal and Royal Goodwill Cricket Club stormed into the semi-finals with commanding victories.
In the first Quarterfinal, Valley Stars Ganderbal posted a formidable 201/7 in 20 overs, thanks to a spectacular 76 off 32 balls by Ishtiyaq Elahi Robby, studded with seven sixes and five boundaries, supported by Bhagmender Lather’s 49 off 34 balls. Bowling in tandem, they bowled out Kanwal Tigers Cricket Club for 117 in 14.2 overs, handing an 84-run win, with Robby adjudged Player of the Match.
In the second Quarterfinal, Royal Goodwill CC scored 189/9, led by Imtiyaz Lefty (54) and Aaqib Mir (45), and restricted Nice Gems CC to 127 in 16.5 overs. Lefty took 3/22, Mir 3/36 and Rouf Bashir bowled an exceptional economical over, conceding no runs, ensuring a 62-run victory.
The matches were attended by Vivek Shekhar Sharma, SP North Jammu and Sohail Kazmi, who lauded standard of cricket and the organisers’ efforts in promoting competitive sports. With these wins, Valley Stars Ganderbal and Royal Goodwill CC now prepare to clash in the highly anticipated semi-final stage.
