*CM Dhami meets IOA president PT Usha

New DELHI, Oct 9: The 38th National Games are scheduled to take place in Uttarakhand from January 28 to 14 February, 2025. In addition to the National Games, the Winter National Games will also be hosted in Uttarakhand. The full schedule for the National Games will be announced during the Indian Olympic Association’s (IOA) general Assembly meeting on October 25, 2024.
During a meeting in New Delhi, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met with IOA president Dr. PT Usha and expressed his gratitude for selecting Uttarakhand as the host for the event. CM Dhami invited Dr. Usha to visit the famous shrines of Shri Badrinath and Shri Kedarnath. He emphasized that Uttarakhand is well-prepared, with substantial infrastructure already in place to ensure the successful organization of the National Games. He stated that efforts are being made to organize the event in a manner that surpasses previous National Games held in other states.
CM Dhami further assured that better facilities and arrangements would be provided for the players and attendees arriving from across India. He highlighted the positive impact the games will have on the morale of the people of Uttarakhand, offering a platform for the State’s emerging athletes to showcase their talent. He also noted that hosting the games in Devbhoomi Uttarakhand would significantly boost the State’s visibility and spirit.
Key officials present during the meeting included Special Principal Secretary Sports Amit Sinha and Resident Commissioner Ajay Mishra.
