Uttarakhand 92/2 against J&K’s 180 as Ashar takes fifer

JAMMU, Nov 26: Uttarakhand were 92/2 against host J&K’s total of 180 runs in the first innings of Cooch Behar Trophy match at GGM Science College Hostel Ground, here today.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, J&K managed to score 180 runs in their first innings as Ashar Khan captured 5 wickets for Uttarakhand. Rydham Sharma top scored with 55 runs off 72 balls, studded with 10 boundaries, while Mousub Mohd Bhat contributed sedate 45 runs off 144 deliveries. Zayd Faisal Agha also contributed 21 runs to the total.
For Uttarakhand, Ashar was the wrecker-in-chief, who bagged 5 wickets by conceding just 9 runs in his 8.2 overs, while Shashwat Dangwal took 2 wickets. DP Singh, Suhail and Rohi claimed one wicket each.
In reply, Uttarakhand were 92/2 at the draw of stumps on Day-1 today. Abhyuday and Bharthwal contributed 42 and 26 runs respectively, while Ashar Khan and Aarav Mahajan were at the crease with 13 and 11 runs respectively. Left-arm spinner Ranjot Singh and right-arm leg-spinner Ritvik Jaitley claimed one wicket each for J&K.
