Closing ceremony of Federation Cup held

JAMMU, Jan 1: Closing ceremony of Federation Cup, organized by J&K Taekwondo Association under the aegis of Taekwondo Federation of India (TFI) was held at International Delhi Public School (IDPS) Sunjwan, here.
12 top ranked teams across the India participated in the said championship. All the top notch players from qualified States participated in the event. The procedure for organizing the Federation Cup was completely based on Pro-Taekwondo events like “Grand Slam” Super Series and “World Grand Prix”.
In the Federation Cup, Uttar Pradesh emerged winner in Kyourgi event, while J&K and New Delhi secured second and third runner-up positions respectively.
In Poomsae Event, J&K emerged winner, while Chandigarh and Punjab bagged second and third runner-up positions respectively.
On the closing ceremony of Federation Cup, one of the professional demonstration teams of India “Korean Cultural” team showcased their demo skills. Many programs were showcased by the school students, but the true stars were the athletes from 12 different teams who gave the very best of themselves in the championship from past three days.
During the closing ceremony, SM Bali Joint Secretary Indian Olympic Association was chief guest, while Amit Sharma Director Food and Supply and Manjeet Singh Former Minister were guests of honour.
SM Bali felicitated the winners by presenting them medals. The ceremonial stage was joined by DN Pangotra Acting President TFI, Atul Pangotra Chairman TFI, Nissar Hussain Vice President JKTA, Anuj Sharma Organizing Secretary JKTA, Sohan Lal Rana Tehsildar, Ramesh Chander Sharma, Subash Sharma and Pritam.
Among others present were Suminder Singh MD IDPS, Yashpal Choudhary MD IDPS, Randeep Wazir AD IDPS, Swarn Singh Choudhary MD IDPS, Madhu Abrol School Manager and BM Bali President Ice Hockey Association.
