UT level Speedball team shines at Int’l event

Medallists displaying medals and trophies on Wednesday.

JAMMU, Mar 9: Jammu & Kashmir Speedball team won three Gold medals in International Indo-Nepal Speedball Championship recently held in Nepal.
About 100 students from five States of the country including a team of 12 members from J&K participated in this championship, wherein J&K team won three each Gold, Silver and Bronze medals.
President of Jammu Speedball Association Tarun Uppal presented a token of appreciation to Sunny Nanda and highlighted the achievement of Sunny Nanda and other members of Association. Other members of the Association including AK Attri, Kanwarjit Singh and Pawan Kumar congratulated the team for their best performance.
Ayush Dogra (Banyan International School), Dhruv Choudhary (Jammu Sanskriti School) and Saman Abbas (Govt HSS Bishnah) were among who won Gold medals, while Silver medals were secured by Yogant Singh (DPS Jammu), Umair Latif Mir (DPS Nagbani) and Amer Kushal (Crescent Sports Club) and Bronze medals were won by Chetanya ((Banyan International School), Jaskaran Singh (Jammu Sanskriti School) and Nirvana Gupta (Air Force School).
All the Gold medallist players will be selected for 33 Clubs Championship -2022, which is scheduled to be held in the month of July in Poland.
