Udhmandi trounces Samba in final, claims title trophy

SAMBA, July 21: Samba team won the Gurha Premier League by defeating Udhmandi team in the final match of the tournament played here today.
Batting first, Samba team set a target of 77 runs in 12 overs, which the Udhmandi team easily chased in 11.4 overs and thus got hold of the title trophy.
Pawan of Samba team, who scalped 5 important wickets, was declared as Man of the Match while Kannu was adjudged as Man of the Series.
A total of 16 teams from district Samba participated in the tournament.
The chief guest of today’s match was former Minister, SS Slathia, who awarded trophies to the winning and runner up teams besides individual prizes to the best performers.
The winning team was awarded a cash prize of Rs 11000 while the runner up team was given Rs 5100.
