JAMMU, Oct 13: Udhampur District Indian Style Wrestling Championship will be held on November 6 (Sunday) at Dharam Vijay Akhara Roun Domail (Udhampur) under aegis of J&K Sports Council.
This was decided by J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association in its special meet held today in Jammu. The meeting was organized by Shiv Kumar Sharma (president of the Association) under the chairmanship of Inderjeet Khajuria (senior vice president) and presided over by Prithvi Raj Sharma (treasurer).
General Secretary of the Association Bansi Lal Tidyal said that weigh-in of wrestlers will start at 10 AM and bouts will start at 11 AM. The wrestlers have been advised to bring Jangia (Red and Blue) for the smooth conduct of championship.
Chairman of Technical Committee Rajinder Kumar (Sonu) disclosed that the Championship will be held in weight categories of 55 Kg, 60 Kg, 65 kg, 70 Kg, 75 Kg, 80 Kg, 85 Kg, 90 Kg and above upto 120 Kg as per the latest norms of Indian Style Wrestling Association of India.
The championship will be organized by Udhampur District Indian Style Wrestling Association in collaboration with J&K Indian Style wrestling Association.
