KATHUA, Aug 17: A placement drive under the project UDAAN was organized in Govt Degree College Kathua in which Rooman Technologies which is a pioneer in Hardware and Networking selected six candidates for training and placement.
After the training, the candidates shall be provided a package of Rs 1.5 to 3.0 lakhs. The candidates selected included Anu Salaria, Shiwangi Gupta, Mukesh Badhan, Sahil Dubey, Apram Sharma and Mandeep Singh.
On this occasion, Principal of the College, Dr B L Gupta congratulated the selected candidates and thanked the officials of Rooman Technologies for conducting a placement drive under the project UDAAN in GDC Kathua.
He also said that UDAAN is a special industry initiative for the unemployed youth of J&K and therefore more number of unemployed educated youth of the State should get the benefit of the scheme launched specially for J&K.
The programme was organized by UDAAN Coordinator Prof Sumanesh Jasrotia. Prof P K Rao, Prof Pankaj Nandan, Prof Gurdial and Prof Pawan Kumar also cooperated in making this programme a grand success.
