POONCH, July 29: The Department of Youth Services & Sports (DYSS), Poonch, conducted Under 19 football trials for boys and girls today at Sports Stadium, under the supervision of DYSSO Mohd Qasim. Talented students from across the district showcased their skills, enthusiasm and fair sportsmanship. Vijay Kumar, Activity Incharge and Sarla Bakshi, ZPEO Poonch, ensured that the trials ran smoothly.
A selection committee chaired by PEM Rajinder Singh and guided by certified NIS coach PET Tarlochan Singh, along with a panel of experienced PELs, PETs and REKs, meticulously evaluated aspiring footballers for merit-based selection.
Shortlisted players will represent Poonch in upcoming divisional-level football competitions, as part of DYSS Poonch’s continuous efforts to promote grassroots talent and foster a vibrant sports culture.
