Two days Girls Cricket Tournament commences

BHADERWAH, Oct 16: To provide platform to showcase their talent and to be a part of the game, two days Girls Cricket Tournament sponsored by Bhaderwah Police under Civic Action Programme (CAP) commenced here.
Two days cricket tournament in which beside a team from Bhaderwah Campus, 6 teams of different girls schools from Bhaderwah town and its peripheral areas are participating was inaugurated at Boys Higher Secondary School Bhaderwah.
The inaugural function in which hundreds of students, members of civil society, political representatives and officers from civil administration, police and Army participated was presided by Additional SP Bhaderwah Rajinder Singh, while Additional Deputy Commissioner Bhadarwah, Imam Din Kichloo was the chief guest and Commanding Officer RR Bhaderwah and CEO Bhaderwah Development Authority (BDA) Bal Krishan were the guest of honour.
While speaking on the occasion, ADC stressed upon the girl students to participate in the sports activities for their overall growth and development.
The inaugural match was played between Blue Ribbon Higher Secondary School and Kendriya Vidhalaya Bhaderwah, in which latter emerged winner by 30 runs.
After completion of the league games, the final match will be played on October 18.
Among others present were SDPO Bhaderwah Brijesh Sharma, renowned educationist Arif Rana and PEM Abdul Haq.
