RAJOURI, June 25: A two-day Volleyball Tournament, organised under the Civic Action Programme by District Police Rajouri, concluded with enthusiasm and sportsmanship at the District Police Lines (DPL) Rajouri.
The tournament featured six teams competing with great energy, skill, and team spirit. The final match was played between Rajab Volleyball Club Rajouri and Friends Volleyball Club of J&K Police, culminating in a thrilling victory for Rajab Volleyball Club.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Rajouri, Gaurav Sikarwar, was the chief guest and honoured the winning team with a trophy, mementos, and a cash prize of Rs 10,000. The runner-up team, Friends Volleyball Club, was also felicitated with a trophy, mementos, and a cash prize of Rs 5,000 for their impressive performance.
As a token of appreciation, mementos were also presented to dignitaries including SSP Gaurav Sikarwar and ASP Rajouri Bikram Kumar for their valuable support to youth-oriented initiatives.
The event was successfully organised under the supervision of DySP (DAR) Akshay Khajuria who reflected the J&K Police’s commitment in promoting youth engagement, community development and sportsmanship.
