TSRUS holds function to appoint council

JAMMU, Sept 29: The Shri Ram Universal School (TSRUS) Jakh organised a function, wherein the School reposes faith and entrusts responsibility to the council of young students, here today.
Sanjeev Pradhan, Principal APS Samba graced the occasion as chief guest, while prominent among the invitees included Sanjeev Gupta, Chairman TSRUS Director of School, Rajni Gupta and proud parents of the members of students’ council.
The programme started with the lighting of lamps, followed by reverberating chants of Gayatri Mantra. The Goddess of Sarswati was invoked by a mesmerising performance of Saraswati Vandana. In the later part of the programme, the students enthralled the audience with a scintillating dance performance.
School Headmistress, Shivani Vaid Sharma introduced the guests to the august audience present in the Auditorium. The chief guest presented the ‘Sash’ and the appointment badge to all the appointments. The newly constituted students’ council was administered the “Oath of allegiance” by the School Principal, Col VK Sharma (Retd).
The head boy, the head girl and the other office bearers reiterated their commitment and expressed gratitude to the School for believing in them and pledged to keep the school flag flying high.
The chief guest congratulated all the appointment holders and wished them “good luck” for their future. He further urged them to realize the importance of opportunities coming their way and acquire skills that will make them worthy citizens and willing workers dedicated towards the development of their family, society, Nation and the world at large.
School Director Rajni Gupta presented the potted plants to the guests. A vote of thanks was presented by Manpreet Kaur Jhans, the CCA coordinator of the School. The programme concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.
