JAMMU, Dec 3: Trishul Club, Mangalthatha registered a huge 49 runs victory over Arjun Tiger in the finals and lifted the title trophy of the 2nd Talent Hunt Dina Nath Memorial T-20 Cricket Cup at Helipad ground, Gai valley Dessa.
Winning the toss and electing to bat first, Trishul Club Mangalthatha scored 110 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in allotted 15 overs.
In reply, Arjun Tiger failed to chase the target and bundled out at just 60 runs for all out in 14. 2 overs.
On the valedictory function, Hitesh Rajput, President Amity Youth Club Dessa was the chief guest, who presented title trophy and cash prize of Rs 2000 to winning team in presence of Ex Naib Serpanch and President Arjun Club. Runner up team was conferred with cash prize of Rs 1000.
Pradeep of Trishul Club was declared as man of the match and also claimed the man of the series title. Cool Captain award was presented to Hiteshwar Kishore, Skipper, Amity Youth Club Dessa. Best Umpire award was presented to Deepu and Mukesh, while, best cooperation was conferred to SG JKP Harvinder of Trishul Club. Best Security award was presented to Police Station Dessa, while, best entertainer award to Jeevan of Amity club Dessa and Surjeet of Bandral Club, best scorer award to Mahavir of Amity Club, best disciplined player award to Raja of Amity Club, fastest fifty award to Bhisham of Super Star Grammari, best disciplined team award to Amity Club Dessa.
While speaking, Hitesh Rajput said that the main aim of the tournament was to nurture the hidden talent of the players and also to provide platform to them so that they can exhibit their talent. Rajput impressed upon the youths to participate in the sports activities for the all round development of the body.
