Tripura thrashes J&K by 8 wkts

JAMMU, Dec 1: Tripura defeated Jammu and Kashmir by 8 wickets in the ongoing Under-19 Boys Cooch Behar Trophy match at Police Training Ground, Agartala in Tripura.
Earlier, resuming from an overnight total of 96/5, Tripura rode on a brilliant knock of 86 runs by Tanmoy Ghosh and scored 192 runs to earn a valuable first innings lead of 59 runs.
J&K, in the second essay were bundled out for 110 runs to set a target of 52 runs for the rivals. Skipper Kanhaiya Wadhawan top scored with 63 runs.
Saruk Hossain, who took a 5-wicket haul in the first innings, again captured 5-wickets in the second innings.
Tripura chased the target by losing 2 wickets, thus won the match by 8 wickets.
It was J&K’s 2nd consecutive loss in this tournament.
