REASI, Jan 19: In continuation with the previous orientation programmes, DIET Reasi organized training programme on ‘Inclusive Education’, wherein participants were acquainted with the techniques of teaching to students with special needs, so that schools as well as teachers can play a constructive role in bringing such children to mainstream schooling and developing a positive attitude among them.
A total of 40 teachers participated in this programme.
Another programme in this series included training-cum-workshop on ‘Clay Modeling’, wherein teachers learnt various ways of making clay models and skill of making teaching learning more effective. 40 teachers participated in this programme also.
This programme was coordinated by the Work Experience Wing of DIET, Reasi headed by Sushma Verma, HoD and Mohd Akram Khan was the resource person.
At the valedictory function, Chief Education Officer, Reasi, Ashok Kumar Sanyal was the chief guest, while Principal, DIET, Darshan Lal presided over the function.
Chief guest in his speech, stressed upon the joint responsibility of school and society in the inclusive development of children with special needs and exhorted teachers to adopt new techniques of teaching while dealing with such students.
Principal, DIET, in his address highlighted the responsible role of teachers in bridging disparities in education.
Others present on the occasion included Kalap Lata, HoD, Vidyotma Gupta, HoD, Badri Dass, Lecturer, Asha Kumari, Lecturer, K C Sharma, lecturer, Virender Dutta, Lecturer, K R Khajuria, Head Master and Mohd. Akram Khan, Master.
