JAMMU, Apr 22: An Inter-School and Inter-College poster making competition was held at Tiny Tots Higher Secondary School today, here today.
The students made posters on the theme Save Mother Earth.
The adjudicator and guest of honour for the competition was Dr O P Sharma (Vidyarthi), Chief Conservator Forests, Eco-Tourism, wildlife protection Department, Jammu and Kashmir and Gurpreet Handa, Director Handa College of Education was the guest of honour.
Also present on the occasion were Seema Mohan, Principal Handa College of Education. Dr Vikram Handa in his welcome address lauded the efforts made by Dr O P Sharma for his unending zeal in preserving and promoting environmental issues.
In Inter-School Competition, the first prize was shared by Ankit Bhasin from Model Academy and Suneha Manhas from Tiny Tots HSS, Sainik Colony, while the second prize was shared by Ekta Kumari of Tiny Tots HSS Roop Nagar and Diksha Dogra of Tiny Tots HSS Residency Road and the third prize was claimed by Kashish Mahajan from Wazir Janki Nath Memorial HSS and Ishika from S M Shishu Niketan HSS.
The consolation prizes were won by Sayed Haider from R M Public School, Sanam Tasleem from ASN HSS and Yatin Choudhary from Jodhamal Public School.
In the Inter-College Competition, the first prize was won by Sarika Budhiraja of Handa College, the Second prize was bagged by Ankita Tripathi from Handa College of Education and the third prize was won by Vikas Kumar from Adarsh College.
The consolation prize was won by Zaitoon from B N College of Education.
Later-on, Vippon Preet Kour presented vote of thanks.
